This is after The Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition, Mr EbrahimPatel announced that certain trading activities on vehicles will be permitted during Alert Level 4.
“The health and safety of our customers and staff is of paramount importance,” says Dinesh Govender, General Manager of Honda Motor Southern Africa.” We would like to ensure our customers that Honda dealerships nationwide will implement strict hygiene and safety measures to minimise the spread of Covid-19”.
Honda dealerships across the country will implement the following safety measures:
- Customers are required to make an appointment before visiting a dealership
- All staff and customers are to wear a cloth face mask
- Sanitisation procedures at all sites will be strictly applied to ensure that all work surfaces, equipment and cars on the floor are disinfected before the dealership is opened, and regularly cleaned during the working period;
- Social distancing protocols will be maintained at all times
Phase 2, effective from May 25, 2020 will see dealerships operating under 60% employment whilst Phase 3 will allow dealerships to operate a 100% employment as from June 8, 2020. Dealerships will continue to follow strict hygiene and safety measures.
Honda would like to encourage all customers whose vehicles are due for a service or repair to please make an appointment at their nearest dealership. Customers can simply visit the Honda website on www.honda.co.za and utilise the “book a service” option.
